He is called the outstanding Polish composer of the twentieth century, and one of the most important to have created work after Chopin. Hailing from the remote province of Little Russia, half- Polish, half German, he went on to became the musical Olympus of Warsaw, where he arrived as a young man, enrolling at the local conservatory in 1901, and he remained gloriously renowned for many years. "Tales of Broca Street" by the French writer Pierre Gripari played for the first time at the Russian Theater in Geneva on September 11th and was produced in cooperation with students from the Theater department of the International Center of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (LMSU). This creative team will soon be the "backbone" of the Russian theater troupe, which will open in early October in the capital of Switzerland. So far on the on the walls of the Shchukin Theater Institute on Arbat the future actors bravely presented their play in the French language to a sophisticated Moscow public.

In early October of this year, the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBTO), Lassina Zerbo, paid a visit to Moscow. The visit included a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom”.

With the arrival of Barack Obama in the White House, Washington began an active revitalization of US -Turkish relations in all directions. With the revitalization of American policy toward the Middle East, this was a necessity, and it was important to Washington to combine its hegemonic aspirations with Ankara's regional ambitions. The increased attention that the United States administration has devoted to Turkey is indicated by the repeatedly increasing number of articles in the American media devoted to this country in the context of Middle Eastern events, and the American "think tanks" have launched thematic programs on Turkey and its policies.

On the 22nd of September, a solemn liturgy heralded the rebirth of the spiritual life of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Moscow. The service was held in the newly constructed Cathedral of the Resurrection.

This central area of Moscow, near Olympic Avenue, has no shortage of new, non-standard architectural structures, but they are mostly made of glass and concrete. Against their backdrop, the Cathedral, and all the buildings of the complex, are decorated with tuff in bright sunny colors, from golden -pink to orange-red, and the effect is unusual  in color, shape, and size.

The continuing involvement of the United States in various military campaigns reminds us of the popular quote:  "God invented war to teach Americans geography." The permanent participation in low-intensity military conflicts has become the hallmark of the American army in recent times. Iraq, Somalia, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, then Iraq again, Libya and now Syria - the list can go on forever.

The Spanish capital, as well as all the rest of the Iberian country as a whole, is going through hard times. The recession there is still running the show, though, according to some, all the developed countries of Western Europe, including Spain, are gradually slowing the rate of economic decline or even starting to emerge from the crisis. Meanwhile the army of the unemployed in the Iberian kingdom still remains at a high level, accounting for nearly 4.7 million people. And the slogan "cut back, cut back some more!” continues to prevail in the Spanish government.

Question: How was your meeting with the US Secretary of State John Kerry?

Sergey Lavrov: The meeting was dedicated to many issues. The main issue was the situation in Syria, primarily from the perspective of the preparation of a decision of the Executive Council of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and a UNSC resolution in support of the OPCW document regarding the actions, which should be undertaken to eliminate chemical weapons in Syria. Both the Russian party and the American party highlighted that all the chemical weapons available in Syria should be liquidated, because there are serious threats and evidence that the opposition may have individual components of these hazardous materials.
