Photographers of Magnum Photos agency will create an exposition about modern Moscow in Zaryadye

From 28 January till 9 of February worldwide knows photo agency Magnum Photos will be first time presenting experimental laboratory Magnum Live Lab/19 in Moscow. Tree photographers will take a part in this project – Thomas Dworzak (Germany), Alex Majoli (Italy), and Newsha Tavakolian (Iran). Exhibition about modern Moscow will be presented in Zaryadye Park. The creative process will be opened to all comers in online timing. The curator of this project will be Nina Gomiashvili.

This is massive international culture project. In different years Magnum was working in London and Paris. In Moscow laboratory, photographers that were invited will create an exposition about Moscow of now a day. Muscovites and tourists will be able to watch all process of creating and publishing photos.

The photo lab will be located in one of the most sign place of Moscow, in Zaryadye Park, at the pavilion «Dome» (not far from the Red Square). The photographers will make photos of the most famous locations in the city, making the accent on historical parts and modern architecture, culture spaces, and of course focus on faces of the local people. Step by step Magnum live Lab/19 will become an exhibition that shows the result of hard work of tree different photographers.

During the work of Lab, there will be an educational process with curator of project and photographers. Also there will be a film that will be made in the end of the exhibition, about the process and work of the project.

The project is organized by The Project Office for the Development of Tourism and Hospitality in Moscow with the support of Committee of City Tourism, Magnum Photos and Zaryadye Park.
