As two great powers, Russia and the United States are the world’s leading geopolitical players with a decisive say in global politics. Therefore, any souring of relations between the two poses new challenges and threats to global stability. This is the future which awaits young people, who still want to live in a world where they can freely communicate without borders, enjoy professional growth and be able to work productively. This is exactly the reason why the "Russian-American Summit of Young Leaders: Together We Model the Future" was held to discuss how best the United States and Russia can constructively cooperate with each other.
American swing, spirituals, along with music by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, were all played at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The G20 format allows the participating nations to fine-tune their national interests, because non-participation in it renders them irrelevant to existing trends. Moreover, participation in multilateral formats is beneficial too, providing the participants with much-needed feedback. Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin made these points very clear during an expert discussion at the Valdai Club of the outcome of the G20 summit in Osaka.
The year 2019 will the mark the five-year anniversary of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and 25 years since the idea of Eurasian integration was first pitched in 1994 by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. On May 29, Kazakhstan’s current President Kassym-Zhomat Tokayev was meeting in the capital Nur-Sultan with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the fringes of an anniversary meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
