If you are 25-35 years old, you are young and ambitious, successful in your career or seek to improve your professional skills, if you are a political or public figure, a specialist in media, science, culture, sports or youth activism, then you have a chance to visit Russia taking part in the “New Generation” program of the Rossotrudnichestvo.

What is the “New Generation” program? It’s a unique Russian youth program held annually by Rossotrudnichestvo since 2011. It seeks to create conditions for sustainable dialogue between young professionals from Russia and other countries. During the last eight years, more than 6,000 young professionals from more than 130 countries of the world visited Russia. Among them were representatives of political and public organizations, science, culture, and media.

Every session of the program caters to a certain focus group which has its own special schedule of events organized by Rossotrudnichestvo together with its partners. The National Research Center Kurchatov Institute and the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) are among them and in 2018 they already hosted youth scientific schools.

The program also partners with the young employees of Russia’s diplomatic departments represented by the Russian Foreign Ministry's Council of Young Diplomats, as well as the Youth Parliament at Russia’s State Duma. Apart from that, the “New Generation” program traditionally cooperates with the international community of journalists - representatives of leading foreign media visit Russia to participate in joint projects with Russia Beyond, Sputnik, and the Russian Academy of Radio.

The program’s schedule of events usually includes a conceptual complex of educational blocks (lectures and seminars by top Russian professionals on the main topic of the event), formal meetings with Russian state officials and sightseeing that offers guests an opportunity to see the main attractions of Russian cities and regions. This way the “New Generation” program allows the participants to see Russia from different perspectives and feel the rhythm of life of the largest country in the world in just a few days.

The program takes place not only in Moscow but also in other regions of Russia. In 2019, the country already hosted the Russia-Turkey Young Leaders’ Forum, two sessions of the SputnikPro project for young journalists, the “Friends for Leadership” event at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the V International Humanitarian Livadia Forum in Crimea’s Yalta, and the III BRICS and SCO Student Spring International Festival in Stavropol. In June, Crimea's Sudak is hosting the "Tavrida 5.0" Forum of Young Artists and Arts.

Over the history of the program, it literally covered every region of Russia, from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok! Participating in the “New Generation” is a chance to see the country’s breadth and diversity as well as the unique features of Russian cities with their own traditions and culture.
