Previously dubbed as the most expensive street in London, Billionaire's Row is now almost unrecognisable, resembling a 'building site' after a whole host of construction and litter, writes ‘The Daily Star’.
Billionaire's Row is London's most expensive residential road, but it appears to be falling into ruin.
Previously home to the ultra-rich and famous such as Justin Bieber and the Sultan of Brunei, The Bishop's Avenue is slowly becoming derelict land. Located on the border of Haringey and Barnet Council, the luxury residential area now resembles a 'building site'.
Several of the seven-figure properties have been boarded up with sheet metal and covered in graffiti, whilst the remainder of the street has fallen foul to litter, potholes and cigarette butts. Residents have expressed their disappointment at the reality of living on London's richest avenue, especially after the council's latest venture into new parking restrictions.
Double yellow parking lines on either side of the road have been introduced to ‘improve sightlines and safety for all’. An anonymous resident shared their response to the MailOnline: ‘It’s awful to live on a street like this, we didn’t expect this when we moved in seven years ago.
‘All the council does is fill in potholes. I think the new restrictions will affect family who are coming to visit because where are they going to park?’
Developers have been tearing down the 25 bedroom mansion to create apartments and retirement homes.
