China-Russia: “Jointly walk the path of mutually beneficial development in a turbulent and changing world”

Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang (photo)  said that China and Russia play a crucial role in ensuring global peace.

The minister reportedly emphasized that both countries, as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, act as important stabilizing forces that they share a commitment to opposing the policies of "hegemony by individual states.

“China is ready to continue working with Russia to jointly walk the path of mutually beneficial development in a turbulent and changing world.

"We firmly adhere to dialogue, not confrontation," Qin stressed.

Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed Beijing’s support to Moscow’s actions to keep national stability, advance towards prosperity and increase development.

The diplomat added that Russia is a friendly neighbor and a strategic partner with whom China is coordinating the New Era.

The spokesperson confirmed the meeting between the Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko to review issues of the bilateral, regional and international agenda.

The visitor also held talks with his counterpart Ma Zhaoxu, who called for timely communication in order to consolidate mutual ties and jointly protect the interests of each side.
