Rom. 5:10-16; Mt. 8:23-27
As the boat was sailing towards the other side of the Sea of Galilee, the Lord was asleep. Suddenly a tempest broke out; everyone was scared to death and forgot that the Lord was with them, so there was nothing to fear.
The same thing happens in both earthly and spiritual realms of our life. Hit by a tempest of troubles or passions, we are usually perplexed to the point of paralysis, thinking that it is only normal. But the Lord gives us a lesson: “Oye of little faith!..." [Mt. 8:26]. And rightfully so: though it is impossible to be completely indifferent to what's going on. It is quite possible to always stay calm.
First and foremost, see what the Lord is expecting from you, and humbly submit to His will. Don't rush, don’t panic. Raise your faith in the Lord, that He is always with you, and fall before Him in prayer. But don’t scream with fear; rather call unto Him with devotion: “O Lord, Thou art powerful to do anything: please help me.
Though not my will, but Thy will be done". Believe that He will safely guide you through the tempest.
