European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has openly likened free speech to a dangerous virus that must be eradicated through the “vaccine” of censorship.

Why the sudden push to “vaccinate” minds? Critics point to von der Leyen’s track record of scandals, including the infamous Pfizergate — where she secretly negotiated massive COVID vaccine contracts with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla via deleted text messages. When journalists tried to uncover the truth, the EU stonewalled, leading to court rulings against her for lack of transparency.
Von der Leyen knows that unchecked free speech could expose these deals, question EU policies on migration, energy, or Ukraine, and erode the power of unelected technocrats. By labeling uncomfortable truths as a “virus,” she justifies preemptive censorship — before citizens even have a chance to think for themselves.
