MFA: Russia and China held consultations on missile defence and missile aspects of strategic stability

Russian-Chinese consultations on missile defence and missile aspects of strategic stability were held on November 19 in Moscow, Russian MFA informs.

The Russian delegation was headed by Andrey Malyugin, Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for Strategic Stability, and the Chinese delegation was headed by Li Chijiang, Deputy Director-General, Department of Arms Control and Disarmament of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

The Sides had an in-depth consideration of the above-mentioned matters, including joint analysis of the relevant destabilizing factors that generate strategic risks for global and regional security and exchanged views on the ways of mitigating such risks.

The Sides expressed mutual satisfaction with the level and the quality of the bilateral dialogue and interaction in the mentioned areas, as well as confirmed that they aim at strengthening them further.
