2Cor. 1:1-7; Mt. 21:43-46

As the priests and Pharisees perceived that the Lord was telling His parables about them, that He was trying to open their eyes, to make them see the truth, — what did they do on that account? They decided to kill Him [Mt. 21:45-46]. Had not their prejudice distorted their common sense, they should have, if not accepted the message of the Lord right away as the evidence required, then at least discussed carefully what He said, to see if there is some merit in His words. But their prejudice pushed them to the wrong path, and they ended up killing the Lord.

That’s how it was in the past, that’s how it is also now. The German Bible scholars and their followers, as soon as they come across a miracle in the Gospel, begin to yell: ‘Wo, no. that’s a fairy tale! That wasn’t so and could not be so! Cross it out!” Isn't it the same as killing the Lord? Read their books and seek a reason why they deny the reality of the Gospel accounts: you will find none. No one of them has ever taken trouble to consider the arguments which the reasonable people put against their follies: they just repeat, over and over, that “it’s impossible” and deny credibility to the Gospel.

What can you do about it? Nothing. They are willing to challenge the Lord Himself.
