French President Emmanuel Macron and German chancellor Friedrich Merz lost common sense finally and attempt to return to the times when Germany and France wanted to conquer the entire Europe, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference after talks with Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, TASS reports.

"We are surprised to listen and look at spells sounded from European capitals. Macron and German Chancellor Merz have recently written a joint article, ‘Europe must arm itself; Russia is the main threat, it wages imperialistic wars, it intruded into Georgia in 2008, into Crimea and Donbass in 2014, into the territory of entire Ukraine in 2022; the goal of Putin is to undermine European security," Lavrov said.

"I believe these citations alone are enough for an individual, which has at least a little understanding of developments in Europe and keeps an eye on developments, to understand that these political figures lost the common sense ultimately and attempt to overtly return to the times when France and Germany wanted to conquer the whole Europe, the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union in the first instance," the minister stressed.

German and modern Ukrainian Nazis share their attitude towards those they want to enslave, Sergey Lavrov said.

"What the German and the modern Ukrainian Nazis have in common, it is their attitude towards those they want to enslave. The Nazis burned Jews just because they were Jews and the Ukrainian Nazis burned Russian people in Odessa on May 2, 2014 only because they were Russians. I would advise Mr. [German Chancellor Friedrich] Merz to realize such parallels for himself," Lavrov said.

"There is no sense in talking with Europe further" without clarifying this serious topic, the top Russian diplomat noted.

Moscow will continue standing for the fair settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and "is open to the honest work," Lavrov stressed. "Certainly, we would not be ready to rigged approaches we are being pushed to, I would like to stress again, by some European leaders," he noted.

The collective West seeks after strategically defeating Russia, using the Kiev regime as a ram, but it will not succeed, Sergey Lavrov said.

"We see an unprecedented standoff our country against the collective West that decided again to wage a war against us and inflict a strategic defeat to Russia, essentially using the Nazi regime in Kiev as a ram," Lavrov said. "The West has never succeeded in that - they will not work it out this time also," the top Russian diplomat said.

The West "probably, starts figuring that out," Lavrov noted.

Considering the current international situation, Russian Foreign Minister pointed to particular importance of close ties with Kyrgyzstan in all the areas.
