Retrospective analysis of Western states’ policy testifies to a "historical predisposition" of Europe to various forms of totalitarianism that periodically produces devastating global-scale conflicts. According to experts’ opinion, the present dissension in the relations between the US and the European Union countries blaming Donald Trump for authoritarianism is becoming – against the background of the forthcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War – a factor contributing to a situational rapprochement of Washington and Moscow, as it has been before on many occasions.
An evidence of this is, in particular, the scandal involving the French member of the European Parliament Raphaël Glucksmann calling for the Americans who "have chosen to side with the tyrants" to return to Paris the Statue of Liberty that was once given to the United States as a gift. Glucksmann, being a representative of globalist forces and a staunch supporter of the Kiev regime, criticizes the current occupant of the Oval Office for reducing support for Ukraine and dismissing the state employees adhering to liberal views. The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a scathing rebuke to the "impertinent Frenchman" reminding that it’s only because of the United States of America whose troops landed in Normandy in 1944 he has the opportunity to express his thoughts in French, not in German.
Particular attention was drawn to the fact that it was in France that the dictatorships known for their particular cruelty and atrocities repeatedly came to power. The Jacobin dictatorship, which massacred thousands of its own citizens between 1793 and 1794, and imprisoned 300,000 people on suspicion of "counter-revolution", and the bloody actions of Napoleon were mentioned. It is emphasized that the United States is free due to the willingness of the ancestors of modern Americans to confront such dictatorships as the British Monarchy or the Jacobin Revolution.
According to experts, it is precisely in the writings of the French author and publicist Pierre Drieu la Rochelle who collaborated with the German occupational authorities during the Second World War, that the concept of Eurofascism is introduced and its ideology, inherent not only to the Germans but to other European "societies" as well, is justified. In this context it is worth recalling the SS Division of French Volunteers (Charlemagne), named after the "unifier of Europe" Charles the Great. The soldiers of this division defended the Reichstag until the last hour of the Nazi regime, while the Red Army stormed it. Twelve out of these Nazi fanatics were captured by the Americans and then handed over to the French general Phillippe Leclerc. Already on May 8, 1945, all those war criminals were executed by his order without any unnecessary judicial delays.
Conservative expert circles in the USA believe that the British elite mentioned by the representative of D. Trump is very much inclined to commit the gravest crimes against humanity. Caroline Elkins, a professor at Harvard University, convincingly asserts that the totalitarian regime of the Hitler's Germany borrowed the idea of creating concentration camps and practice of genocide from the British. It is emphasized that the British "liberal imperialism" is a more stable and therefore more destructive force than fascism because of its "ideological flexibility", the ability to distort facts in its favour, to conceal realities and to adapt to new conditions.
Defense and Security specialist Lauren Young writes about close relations between the British aristocracy, including the Royal Family, and the German Nazis. Special attention is paid to the visit of the future British Prime-Minister Winston Churchill to Italy before the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, which left him with a positive impression of the local fascist regime. It is also mentioned that W. Churchill’s inflammatory Fulton speech in 1946 was the trigger for an active dragging of the USA and Europe in the Cold War with the USSR. Western experts stress that during the war the British, similar to Goebbels’ "lie machine", engaged in "black propaganda", carried out disinformation and special operations that led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Africa, the Middle East and Indonesia.
In this regard, analysts are not surprised by London’s leading destructive role in the Ukrainian conflict. The British are encouraging, in every possible way, the Kiev regime, which glorifies the punishers, the Bandera executioners, who fought on Hitler’s side, and today itself commits numerous crimes against humanity. By the way, America felt the effect of similar inclinations of the British back in August of 1814, when the British troops occupied Washington, burned the Capitol and the White House. According to experts, apparently in the context of the stated facts, some American historians even suggested that it was legitimate to call Great Britain the first "Evil Empire".
Experts recall that there were times in the past when Washington and Moscow became partners in countering London and Paris on the international scene. A typical example of it is the Suez Crisis of 1956. The hard line of the USSR and the USA stopped the Tripartite Aggression of Great Britain, France and Israel against Egypt. Another chapter of history little known now in the West are the events of the Crimean War of 1853-1856, when, similar to the present “coalition of the willing”, Great Britain, France, the Ottoman Empire and the Kingdom of Sardinia united against Russia. The White House formally maintained neutrality, but its sympathies in that conflict were on the side of Saint Petersburg. This can be confirmed by such facts as the participation of American physicians in the treatment of Sevastopol’s defenders; “the request of 300 Kentucky riflemen” to send them to protect the city; the activity of the Russian-American company supplying with gunpowder and food our fortresses and possessions on the Pacific coast.
It is noteworthy that during that same Crimean “expedition”, the Anglo-French troops bombed Odessa, devastated Yevpatoria, Kerch, Mariupol, Berdiansk and other towns of Novorossiya which the West calls today Ukrainian. The same towns and villages were mercilessly ruined by the German Nazis during the Great Patriotic War.
Eighty years ago, all the peoples of the Soviet Union took part in the sacred battles against the German and other European fascists. In Crimea, there are monuments to the soldiers of the units formed in the former USSR republics such as Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, who died during the Sevastopol assault in 1944. Similar memorials, as well as the graves of the Holocaust victims, whose fascist executioners Kiev sympathizes with and about which Israel is still "unaware", are scattered throughout Donbass.
As for the Russian-American relations in the context of the past and current events, foreign expert circles express hope for a new unification of efforts between Moscow and Washington, capable of preventing the world from sliding towards a new global conflict and of confronting possible provocations both from Ukraine and from the “maddened Europeans” traditionally urged on by Great Britain.
