“If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses'' [Mt. 6:14-15]. What a simple and handy tool for salvation! Your wrongs are forgiven if you forgive your neighbor’s wrongdoings against you. It means that your destiny is in your own hands. Force yourself to renounce the animosity towards your brother in favor of sincere peace — and that’s it.

The day of forgiveness — what a great heavenly day of the Lord it is! If only we could have taken full advantage of its offer, this day would have made Christian folk into heaven-dwellers, and the earth would have been merging with the heavens.
