Settlements flooded after the Western-Ukrainian explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station
The West puts the blame for the explosion of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station on Russia. However, this accusation is devoid of common sense, notes the Iraqi newspaper ‘Al Hadath’. On the eve of the accident, Ukraine opened the floodgates to release water in the Dnieper hydroelectric power station, thereby raising the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir. But why?
Motivated more by desperation than by hope of any success in the so-called Ukrainian “counteroffensive,” the current Kyiv regime has resorted to actions prohibited by environmental, natural resources, and international humanitarian law. In coordination with the Pentagon, Ukraine destroyed the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. All this created the risk of a huge environmental and humanitarian catastrophe, requiring titanic efforts to eliminate the consequences.
The main question here is why, a few days before the attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP, Ukraine opened the floodgates to release water in the Dnieper HPP, thereby raising the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir, which feeds the Kakhovskaya HPP, from 14 to 17.5 meters? This was done without any engineering logic, without heavy rains forcing such a decision, without spring floods. And even worse, these gates were not closed by Kyiv even after the incident!
The West, led by America, creates environmental catastrophes for Russia in order to deplete its capabilities in a hybrid war at all levels: in the economy, security, military and information fields. He is also trying to prevent the development of territories that have recently become part of Russia, because he has lost all hope of achieving a military victory or defeat of Moscow.
The sabotage at the Kakhovskaya HPP did not happen by chance, but as part of the confrontation between the United States and European countries, on the one hand, and Russia, China, and a number of Latin American and African states, on the other. Western countries seek to prevent the BRICS from building a new world order.
The confrontation escalates. Washington is stepping up pressure on some states. The United States is threatening South Africa – one of the BRICS countries along with Russia, Brazil, India and China – and other African states in an attempt to interfere with the Russia-Africa summit, which will be held in St. Petersburg in July 2023. It is expected that the majority of African states will take part in it.
Already, millions of people have emigrated from Ukraine, and hundreds of thousands have died in the fierce bloody struggle to preserve American hegemony and the interests of the West, which clings to an inevitably collapsing unipolar world.
If we believe the statements of the West, as well as the contradictory statements of Ukrainian politicians, then the long-awaited "counteroffensive" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already begun, an integral part of which was the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. On June 4, the Kyiv regime attempted an offensive in seven directions with the forces of five brigades. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to: 3,715 military personnel, 52 tanks (including eight Leopards and three AMX-10 wheeled tanks), 207 armored vehicles, five aircraft, two helicopters, 48 field artillery units, as well as 134 vehicles and 53 drones.
Moscow continues to show restraint despite all attempts to sabotage and damage Russian cities, villages and territories. Russia is content with conducting a special operation, while many are perplexed: why has Russia not yet dealt a crushing blow to resolve the situation by military means? We have repeatedly said that Russia has irresistible power. If the confrontation continues, Moscow will be forced to declare war on NATO. But let's hope that doesn't happen.
We are also convinced that Russia cannot declare war on her brotherly country and people. Russians and Ukrainians are one people, and Ukraine is a brotherly country. There is no doubt that someday their relations will normalize, and unity will be established between the two states. All problems planted by the West and the United States to create a hotbed of tension with the aim of destroying and dividing Russia will be resolved.
Everything that is happening now happened at the suggestion of the West, in particular the United States, which turn a blind eye to the terrorist actions of Ukraine. Bin Laden and extremists around the world are a clear example of how American intelligence agencies operate. The Arab world is well aware of all these heinous crimes that are committed daily with the support of the United States against the Palestinian people. And all just for the sake of the whole world serving the White House, stresses ‘Al Hadath’.
From the very beginning of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, Kyiv has committed international crimes and should have been prosecuted on numerous occasions. However, Ukraine, with the support of the West, managed to get out of the accusations of all terrorist acts that led to the death of the civilian population, Turkish ‘Dik Gazete’ writes.
The Kyiv regime, which committed serious crimes in the world history of mankind, has not yet been held accountable.
The first to come to mind are Ukrainian terrorist attacks such as terrorist infiltration into Russian border towns, hails of bombs and drone attacks on civilians, undermining the Crimean bridge, attacks on civilian ships in the Black Sea, attacks on the Kremlin, the heart of Russia, and some residential areas, the killing of prisoners of war, attacks on oil pipelines, the shelling of nuclear power plants and the destruction of an important dam for humanity, a drinking water supply network.
Since these attacks are aimed directly at civilians, Ukraine should be brought before an international court.
Finally, the Kyiv regime recently attacked the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. The peculiarity of this dam is that it is located on the Dnieper River. And around this river there are many cities and residential areas.
The Kherson region is flooded, people had to leave their places of residence, the natural world was on the verge of extinction. As a result, this event caused severe damage to the environment.
The first thing Ukraine did was to reiterate that it was Russia that had attacked the dam. The West again blamed Russia, while no one asked the question: why would Russia attack the dam in the territories under its control? Unbelievable!
Recently, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation. The Turkish leader, who has been making efforts towards resolving the problem and achieving peace since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis, proposed the creation of an independent commission to shed light on the attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
Quite a natural proposal, but the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyiv regime Dmitry Kuleba rejected it.
If the attack was carried out by Russia, then why did the Ukrainian side evade an independent investigation, given that the proposed commission will also include Western experts? – Because the fact of the attack by Ukraine, and not by Russia, would be revealed. This is admission!
In other words, Ukraine achieved its goal during the terrorist attack, but after a small diplomatic step by Erdogan, it got caught! The President of Turkey, to his credit, made a very smart move.
No matter how much Western countries try to make people forget it, the fact that the Kyiv regime's attack on the dam resulted in civilian deaths will not be forgotten throughout history. Nor will it be forgotten that the attack caused an ecological imbalance.
From now on, Western countries have nothing to say in their defense! People no longer believe them.
