“This year was tough, 2026 will be even worse”, Meloni tells premier office staff

Premier Giorgia Meloni told the employees at the premier's office at Palazzo Chigi in Rome to have a good rest over the Christmas holidays because they will need it in view of what is set to be a tough year of work ahead of them.

"I love you. We are a family, we fight all year round," Meloni said during the meeting with her staff in the courtyard of Palazzo Chigi.

"The past year has been tough for all of us but don't worry because next year will be even worse," she quipped.

"So I advise you to rest properly during these holidays because we have to continue to give responses to this extraordinary nation".
