Trump's son outraged about Ukrainian license plates on supercars in Monaco

President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. said that half of the supercars in Monaco, including Bugattis and Ferraris, have Ukrainian license plates.

Speaking at the Doha 2025 Forum, he said that he had been in Monaco this past summer with his girlfriend, Bettina, and they were driving around. On a normal day, half the supercars they saw there - Bugattis, Ferraris, and others – carried Ukrainian license plates. He wondered how they made that kind of money in Ukraine.

The businessman also noted that Ukraine is not a wealthy country, yet high-ranking Ukrainian officials are accused of corruption related to the embezzlement of "hundreds of millions of dollars."

He added that when he visited Ukraine 20 years ago, he witnessed no abundance of wealth there, and yet local officials were being arrested for stealing hundreds of millions of dollars.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban criticized the European Union for its passivity regarding corrupt practices in Ukraine, emphasizing that Brussels is not decisive enough condemning the current situation.

On November 28, EU member states approved a preliminary agreement on trade tariffs that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US President Donald Trump clinched in July. The future of the deal and transatlantic trade and economic relations as a whole remains unclear though.
