Violent clashes on the streets of Britain

Shocking scenes in Leeds on Thursday night as a bus was set on fire and a police car tipped.

The Metropolitan police has said additional police resources will be on duty in Whitechapel, East London, after significant disorder between rival groups within the Bangladeshi community, ‘The Daily Mail’ writes.

Scotland Yard said local officers were quickly on scene and found two large groups of men fighting in the street:

The Met said that missiles were thrown at police on the ground and two officers sustained injuries as a result.

A number of cars were also damaged during the incident.

Police resources from elsewhere in London were rushed to the scene to provide further support.

Scotland Yard says it believes the disorder was linked to protests in Bangladesh in recent days that have resulted in fatalities.

Former immigration minister Robert Jenrick said the outbreak of violence showed a need to 'take our heads out of the sand'

But Mr Jenrick said the riots in Leeds – as well as disorder in Whitechapel, London – raised serious questions about whether Britain had done enough to integrate migrants.

'The scenes in Leeds and London ultimately reflect the failure of the British state… Our country is divided and its social fabric frayed, as a result of past mistakes. A profound change is required.'

JD Vance notes that Britain is now a nuclear-armed Islamist state because of its left-wing leaders: “And I was talking about, you know, what is the first truly Islamist country that will get a nuclear weapon, and we were like, maybe it's Iran, you know, maybe Pakistan already kind of counts, and then we sort of finally decided maybe it's actually the UK since Labour just took over.”
