President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Ms Rousseff, I am delighted to see you. Welcome.

I understand you have events planned in Moscow for the New Development Bank, and I am really pleased that we can use this working visit as a chance to meet, have a talk, take stock of where we are, and discuss the way forward.

I know you have been in touch with your colleagues and mine. We have a new representative at the bank – he started not long ago.

(Addressing Roman Serov) When did you join the bank?

Vice President of the New Development Bank Roman Serov: Six months ago.

Vladimir Putin: Six months ago. I hope it is all going well.

(Addressing Anton Siluanov) And you are chairing tomorrow, aren’t you?

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov: Yes.

Vladimir Putin: Our Finance Minister will be attending and chairing tomorrow’s event.

Anyway, it is really good to see you. Welcome. And of course, we will talk through current matters.

Please, go ahead.

President of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff (retranslated): Dear President Putin,

It is a real honour to be here and to see you again here in the Russian Federation.

We have worked closely with the Russian side – with Finance Minister Siluanov and with your Russian representative, Mr Oreshkin. We are also very pleased to say that the Russian Vice President has been extremely helpful in addressing the issues we face.

And I want to say that it means a great deal to us, and to me personally, to be here now and to have this opportunity to speak with you directly and with members of your team.

I should also add, on behalf of Brazil, that President Lula sends you his warmest greetings and highest regards.

Vladimir Putin: Thank you very much.
