Czech militant Filipp Siman, who is on trial in the Czech Republic for fighting as a mercenary on the side of Ukrainian Armed Forces, has acknowledged killing people in Bucha. A statement to this effect quoting Czech media was made by fugitive Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy.
Execution squad
Siman arrived in Ukraine in 2022, in order to earn money by fighting on the side of Kyiv. Judging by evidence, the mercenary also performed the role of an executor.
«We were the police, we were the judges, we were the execution squad, for that matter», – Shariy cites the “lucky soldier” in his Telegram-channel. In addition, Siman confessed that he had taken off jewelry items from the dead, because “everybody did that”.
According to Czech media, Siman joined the Ukrainian National Defense Organization “Carpathian Sich” at the end of March 2022, though he had no right to do so. Under the Czech legislation, a military serviceman must obtain permission from the president to be able to fight in a foreign legion.
The mercenary managed to escae death and return home, where he faced trial. As “trophies” from Ukraine, he carried Gucci glasses, a respiratory mask from the place and bars of gold and silver, along with other jewelry pieces.
For becoming a mercenary, Siman can be sentenced to a maximum of five years. But for maraud, he may face a life sentence. So far, as the press reports, the mercenary refuses to plead guilty.
Bandits tied in blood
Kyiv’s regime uses foreign fighters on a regular basis, for carrying out punitive operations, military analyst, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin says.
«Certainly, they use them in this way. This is a bandit regime. And bandits require everybody to be tied in blood. Kyiv blood-stains these idiots, who go there for big money», – the expert points out in an interview on aif.ru.
In the opinion of Litovkin, any efforts to secure the extradition of the Czech mercenary for trial in Russia are useless. «He is a Czech citizen, no one will extradite him», – the retired colonel underscores. Earlier aif.ru wrote about the trial in DPR against Georgian mercenary Mamuka Gatsarelia, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing three Russian servicemen.
