Where should the Middle East go in the light of all global changes?

There are many publications appeared in the Arab press on the Global problems. It becomes obvious that the interests of the Arab world are connected with the situation in the World.

“The special operation in Ukraine has taken on a global character, which means that its consequences have affected all countries, especially at the level of the world economy, which today has become more complex and intertwined. We can compare it to communicating vessels: what happens at the economic level in one country will be reflected in the rest of the world,” ‘Al Mayadeen’ writes from Lebanon.

From this point of view, the search for a solution to the conflict in Ukraine has become common for all countries, especially for European countries, which have suffered the most. Their economies are under threat, especially in light of the arms race their governments are running to support Kyiv and provide it with the necessary ammunition and equipment to counter the Russian army.

These countries have already exhausted their stocks of shells and missiles and are approaching the depletion of the arsenals of strategic weapons they need for self-defense.

Аl-Аyyam’ from Bahrain notes: “In parallel with the natural earthquakes taking place across the globe, political upheavals are taking place that threaten a major historical collapse that will not only affect the dominant international system, but also overthrow empires and states that live off the wealth, blood and tears of the peoples of developing countries,

The United States and its allies, more than thirty countries, are mobilizing all forces to prevent these changes. They are betting on the possibility of defeating Russia, which started this transformation. Moreover, Moscow is not the only one who decides the outcome of the ongoing transformations.

Russia proves that it is a great country, despite the economic situation and sanctions. Russia is the largest nuclear power on earth. Its defeat (which is impossible) will become a nightmare for all Humanity, as this event will unleash a nuclear war. And if Russia is wiped off the face of the earth, then many other states will also sink into oblivion.

Decision-makers in the collective West, waging war against Russia through Ukraine, believe that a victory over Moscow would play into their hands in competition with the "Chinese dragon". In their opinion, he poses the greatest strategic threat to the existing international system.

Therefore, the United States and its allies activate the sanctions regime against Chinese companies in advance, do not stop concentrating the fleets and armies of allies around China, waiting for the zero hour, which seems to be just around the corner.

As with the First and Second World Wars, this confrontation will last for years, and it will destroy many economies, even those that now seem strong and whose potential one would like to use in the war against Russia and China.

NATO will not be able to stop the spread of the negative consequences of this war, as internal crises have already erupted in the US and European countries.

The failure of the five largest banks in the US, high commodity prices, in addition to the split in society, indicate that the United States is facing a repeat of the 2008 financial crisis, after which the US economy did not fully recover.

The sanctions adopted by the United States against those they consider their enemies are a double-edged sword. Within a system of globalization, it is difficult to reshape the economic model they have adopted in the light of continued global division, increasing manifestations of polarization, and the closure of some markets.

What happens in France, the UK and other countries in connection with the protests will have economic consequences and costs. Also, what is happening there will deepen the political, social and cultural stratification due to the social structure of these countries, which is characterized by the presence of millions of marginalized and impoverished immigrants.

Where should the Middle East go in the light of all these changes?” ‘Аl-Аyyam’ puts a crucial question.
