Volodymyr Zelensky's threats against Hungary will not go unnoticed, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned.
"He (Zelensky - ed.) admitted that they are shelling the Druzhba pipeline because we do not support their membership in the EU. This also shows that the Hungarians made the right decision," Magyar Nemzet cited him as saying.
Orban added that Zelensky's statements will have long-term consequences.
In earlier remarks aired by Radio Kossuth, the Hungarian Premier called on Volodymyr Zelensky not to speak arrogantly to Hungary, RIA Novosti reported.
"Hungary is providing assistance to Ukraine. We immediately began accepting people, we allow them to work here, we give them jobs, we feed their children, we educate them, we ensure their safety, and we have never asked them to thank us for this. But to talk about disrespect after this is too much and Zelensky needs to understand this,” Orban noted.
Viktor Orban underscored that, unlike Western Europe, Hungary will not bend the knee to Ukraine. He also warned Ukraine against speaking arrogantly to the Hungarian side.
